Interview Techniques

Course Description: This course provides an introduction to the basic methodological, theoretical and practical concerns of qualitative interviewing. The course takes participants through the general processes of preparing interviews, conducting (semi-structured) interviews, analyzing interview transcripts, and managing interview data. Combining theory with in-class interview exercises, you will learn practical tips and tricks of how to prepare and carry out in-depth qualitative interviews and how to use interviews in your own research.
