Qualitative data analysis (in Atlas TI)

Once you’ve finished your interviews and uploaded them to Atlas TI or another software programme, your next question will probably be: How to analyze those interviews?

In this ELS Lunch session, Anja Eleveld will use her own research project on the meaningfulness of mandatory work to explain how she interpreted her interview data in five steps:

  1. descriptive (first-level) coding;
  2. focused (second-level) coding;
  3. axial coding;
  4. discovering patterns and;
  5. identifying main themes.

About the speaker: Anja Eleveld is an associate professor at the Social Law Department of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

The meeting will be online. After the presentation, there’s time for a Q&A and discussion. You are cordially invited to join. If you would like to attend this meeting, please send an email to Anniek van der Schuijt, E: j.m.vander.schuijt@vu.nl, on 7 April at the latest.
