Practical information
Help, my thesis student wants to conduct interviews!? How do I deal with a student who would like to code and analyse case law? How can I explore whether legal assumptions are correct with my students in a low-threshold manner? In this Lunchbyte on empirical legal education, Rowie Stolk (lecturer in Constitutional and Administrative Law) and Gitta Veldt (UD civil law) will share their experiences. They will discuss how to integrate empirical insights into legal education, by addressing the best practices, opportunities, and challenges. They will give a brief overview of forms of education that are already available, but are especially interested in your wishes, possible experiences, and doubts. In addition, they will introduce you to all the resources offered by ELS@Leiden, to which they are both affiliated.
If you have ‘cold feet’ when it comes to this topic, check out the empirical legal studies first aid kit.
