ERI-workshop on conducting interviews II: the art of interviewing – Ásta Berglind Verheul (Tilburg University)

On Thursday, November 11th, between 12.00-13.30, ERI hosted its second seminar in the sequence on conducting interviews. This second seminar focussed on holding an interview, and was led by Ásta Berglind W. Verheul, a researcher at Tilburg Law School with an expertise in gender equality policies.

The session focussed on The Art of Interviewing. After having prepared the interview approach, your questions and your interviewees, the next steps are scheduling and conducting the interview. The art of interviewing is more than just asking questions, the key is listening and re-iterating your questions through probing. This seminar will give you an insight into the techniques of listening and probing during an interview through personal anecdotes.

The workshop was held in hybrid format.
